At Park Advocacy Day 2013, we were able to apply for our 2012 donations to be matched utilizing the funds made available through AB 1478. The match funds were submitted for Jug Handle, Greenwood, and Malakoff Diggins State Parks.
Within the South Yuba River State Park are four well - used spots for river recreation: Bridgeport, Hwy. 49, Purdon crossing, and Edwards crossing. The latter are very rustic and benefit from devoted locals who've stepped up to keep things clean and maintained. To that end, we have paid for one years' of porta - potty cleaning at Purdon, and will continue to do so as long as the need exists. Thank You everyone!
Home to the Pygmy Forest, Ecological Staircase, and Jug Handle Creek Farm & Nature Center.
Beautiful Greenwood State Beach, 17 miles south of Mendocino, will be open for one more year.
“Top it Off for Malakoff” is the slogon to help us raise funds directly to assist Malakoff Diggins’ largest fixed costs: utilities, etc.
